Our goal with STORYARC was to bring the same strategic planning you’re already doing around campaigns and marketing strategy and layer in an expert approach to video content planning. We want to include more voices in the content conversation, and help the organization be more efficient and intentional in how they acquire and use video content. STORYARC’s continuous review and plan update model also builds in flexibility and executive oversight.

Enrique cultivated his creative vision early in life, serving as a photography assistant on photo shoots in the Amazon rainforests in his native Venezuela while still in high school. Since then Enrique has spent the last 16 years developing powerful visuals and compelling stories. Enrique’s directorial credits include: THE RIDE, a football reality television show aired on NBC Sports Network, MTV2 and Fox Sports; national television spots for Villanova University, Athletic Republic, and Drexel University; short-form documentaries and promotional videos for American Family Insurance, NBC, Adidas and various clients in higher education and non-profit markets; and animation pieces for GlaxoSmithKline and Centocor. Enrique’s experience in all phases of a project allows him to remain hands-on through the project life cycle, from pre-visualization, through production, editorial, and finishing. Enrique’s creative vision and experience allows him to push the limits to deliver a piece that will constantly engage the viewer. He is an avowed technologist, constantly experimenting with the latest in production and post-production equipment and software, often serving as a beta-tester for manufacturers and developers. Enrique holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Structural Engineering from Villanova University. Because, of course, he does.

Sean co-founded Bowstring Studios in 2001 and has been intimately involved in nearly every aspect of the company, most recently as president and executive producer for most projects. He is often on the road traveling with production teams around the world, helping to integrate client messaging into the beautiful visuals produced by our teams. Sean has led projects for clients including American Family Insurance, Xfinity, GlaxoSmithKline, and the U.S. Army. Sean’s credits include Executive Producer of three seasons of THE RIDE, nearly 200 episodes of the Get 2 The Game series, the American Family Insurance Dream Challenge and The U.S. Army All-American Bowl: A Tradition of Strength and Honor. Recently, Sean has immersed himself in the world of virtual reality filmmaking, completing VR projects for Temple and Humana. Sean graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University’s College of Engineering and received his MBA from the Villanova School of Business.

Jeffrey believes that, “it’s always about two things: the story you’re telling and the people you’re telling it with. It takes a team effort to make a good film.” Jeffrey is an award-winning film director/writer with three decades of creative achievement in TV commercials, corporate films and IMAX films. He is a co-founder of SBK Pictures, where he directed national commercials for Coke, Pepsi, Sprint, Campbell’s, Kraft, Merrill Lynch, Mattel, Pillsbury, Merck, Pfizer and many more. He has directed five IMAX films, and developed giant screen documentaries for the Olympics and Disney. Jeffrey is a co-founder of Medical Broadcasting Company, now Digitas Health. MBC was an innovator in creating commercials and branded content for the pharmaceutical and health sciences industry. Digitas Health is a global leader in digital marketing for health brands. He is a co-founder of eMoney Advisor, a leader in digital wealth management solutions for financial advisors. Jeffrey served as Executive Creative Director and was writer/director of a large library of award winning animated videos called Advisor Branded Media. Jeffrey joined Bowstring to continue expressing the possibilities of storytelling through video. He is inspired by the studio’s creative atmosphere. Jeffrey believes, “the talent of our team and the fun we have together is evident in our finished films.”

Larry takes great pride in the career he has built over the past 20 years in the industry. He worked his way through the ranks by tackling a variety of positions that have led him to be an Executive Producer at Bowstring Studios. Larry remembers loving TV in his youth and became fascinated with what was happening behind-the-scenes. He recalls, being less interested in the person on screen and wondering, “how does this all work and what does it take to make it happen?” That inspired his main focus in the industry. With a creative spirit, Larry is the man you want handling the logistics of any production. He comes to Bowstring having produced commercials, brand films, corporate media, interactive engagements and network content across the U.S., Canada and Europe. His flexible and collaborative “do what it takes to get it done and get it done right” approach mirrors Bowstring’s dedication to our craft and our clients. His passion and energy are fueled by working with a diverse team. Larry loves that something amazing can be created from the smallest spark of an idea. The story is what excites him and he enjoys using new technologies to make stories immersive and entertaining. Larry has used this approach while producing commercials for brands, such as Nike, Gillette, Rothman Institute and Ford Motor Vehicles. As an Executive Producer, Larry is always driven to take someone’s vision and help them bring it to life. Leading productions at Bowstring makes him appreciate the talented internal resources that make it possible to go above and beyond what is expected. When he isn’t on set or planning his next production, Larry enjoys traveling with his wife and son who are his main motivation. He is a passionate fan of Philly sports teams and also focuses on volunteer work at the Make a Wish Foundation.

It is pretty simple. Matt loves editing film. From a young age, Matt enjoyed the creative arts and decided to attend Temple University, where he earned a degree in film and media arts. Matt quickly fell in love with editing and started working for broadcast networks, such as ABC and NBC. Since joining Bowstring, Matt has grown to play a leadership role on the post-production team. His speed and abilities make him a productive editor. However, his eye for detail, creativity, and dedication to film make him a great editor. This is obvious when viewing Matt’s work, such as the US Army series, Notes from the Bowl.

Matt’s “we can always do better” attitude pushes him to exceed standards, learn more, and perfect his craft. Matt also puts the story first when editing a project. He likes to review all of the footage and find the small moments and special details that really bring a story to life on the screen. This is why partners, such as NetApp, the NFL and Villanova University trust Matt to stitch together the narrative behind their brand identity.

When he gets away from his desk, you’ll find Matt playing ultimate Frisbee, keeping up with the latest technology, cheering on sports teams, and spending time with his family – he gets most of his inspiration from his daughter and son.

Sam is committed to working with brands that embody values she can support and promote. Bowstring is an organization that runs on integrity, talent and fearlessness. As she puts it, “It is always easier to promote something that you actually like and believe in.” Sam grew up in the Philadelphia area, where she quickly adopted a love of the arts, culture, and adventure. From her first Polaroid camera to her last DSLR, she likes visuals that tell a story. As a youngster, Sam also became fascinated by commercial media content, memorizing the slogans for all the top brands on TV. While staying true to her artistic roots, Sam decided to pursue a career that would give her the opportunities to play creatively while working practically. Sam attended Temple University to study strategic communications. Sam has worked in community relations for nonprofits, media relations for arts groups, and marketing for corporate entertainment brands around the Philadelphia area. Bowstring’s production team takes pride in putting our partner’s brand story first. With a designer’s attention to detail and a marketer’s attention to analytics, Sam focuses on sharing Bowstring’s brand story first. You will often find her hiking, gardening, or rock climbing. She also enjoys playing the harmonica, working on DIY projects, and bringing arts programs to underserved schools.

Sebastian is a prolific motion graphics designer with 17 years of professional experience, from managing in-house creative teams and day-to-day creative studio operations to developing external client relationships, design, illustration, and art direction. The diversity of his work reflects his constant exploration of art, nature, 3D graphics and digital animation, delivering to each project his particular aesthetics and rhythm. Sebastian’s world is composed in layers and keyframes. Sebastian studied visual communications in Prodiseño, Caracas, and multimedia in L´ENSCI, Paris, France. After internships at HBO’s MundoOle, and Loquesea.com, he partnered with Alvaro Leon to found Keloide in 1999, a successful design studio based in Caracas. He then became actively involved in the Venezuelan graphic and music scene, with multimedia collectives and bands. This unique background of experiences in Venezuela, Spain, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and the USA, give him a broad spectrum of cultural references and artistic styles. Sebastian joined Bowstring in 2014, creating Motion Graphics, VFX sequences, and VR scenery. Bradley has been heavily involved with the television, broadcast, live sports, and entertainment fields for over 7 years. Previously, Bradley has produced for the Philadelphia Eagles, 6ABC, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, numerous higher education institutions, branded entertainment clients and agencies. He now serves as the post-production producer at Bowstring Studios where he is intimately involved in every project that passes through the post workflow. Bradley holds a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University as well as a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business Management from Full Sail University.

Vincent makes it his mission to inform and entertain. His interest in filmmaking took him to Villanova University where he studied communications and media production. He was one of seven finalists in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 42nd Student Academy Award competition. Vincent honed his skills while editing short films and feature-length documentaries. Since joining the Bowstring post-production team in 2012, Vincent has become more than just an editor. His social consciousness pushes him to create change through storytelling. Vincent enjoys working with clients and partners to involve them in the post-production process. You can find him showing our friends at WHYY how to edit a voice over or helping a client from GMR Marketing try on virtual reality goggles for the first time. Vincent works beyond his editing role at Bowstring. He takes responsibility for framing the stories we tell and creating media that will immerse audiences. Vincent’s passion and talent are evident in his work for Hewlett Packard, NBC Sports, and Volvo. Vincent has also played an important role in virtual reality production at Bowstring. Stitching virtual reality allows him to combine imagination and narratives in ground-breaking ways. Filmmaking is his passion but Vincent also has a love for music. He enjoys playing guitar and traveling to see live shows in his free time.

When Vanessa was 13-years-old, she watched Ron Fricke’s documentary, Baraka, for the first time. Although the film has no dialogue, it spoke to Vanessa and she decided then and there to pursue a career in the digital arts. With passion and determination, Vanessa earned her bachelor’s degree in film studies at the University of Pittsburgh and attained her M.F.A. in film and media arts from Temple University. Today, her work as a photographer and filmmaker reflects her fascination with humanity, art, nature, and music. Vanessa has experience in English and Spanish television production, having worked for broadcast networks, such as Univision and Telefutura. Almost a decade ago, Vanessa used her experience behind the camera and production knowledge to open Ilu Media & Design. As CEO of Ilu, she worked with corporate and nonprofit brands, as well as individual artists and music groups, including members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Vanessa was able to make a real impact by bringing media production to institutions, such as the eOne Music, Anne Akiko Myers, and Time for Three. Whether she is on location or in the studio, Vanessa always puts the client’s story first. When approaching a new project, Vanessa considers, “How does this content translate to the bigger brand story and how can we enhance the existing narrative?” She believes, “everything from music to typography helps convey a brand identity on the screen.” Her commitment to storytelling and brand integrity is obvious during her productions. When she isn’t on set, Vanessa enjoys building Legos with her family, watching as many movies as possible, and working with non-profits to protect the environment.

Andrew’s passion for filmmaking and video production started in high school. He fell in love with movies, soaked up all the information he could find, and dove right in. Andrew graduated from Fairfield University in 2014 with a BA in new media and film. Since then, Andrew has been an asset on production sets for documentaries, short films, TV spots, virtual reality experiences, and web series’. His technical knowledge and positive attitude make him a reliable team member on set, in the studio, and on the road. Andrew has a unique perspective. He loves to come up with new stories and use his imagination to create content that no one has seen. He believes, “A big swing and a big miss is better than doing the same old thing that’s been done time and time again.” A true storyteller at heart, Andrew works with independent film groups around Philadelphia, participates in an improve troop, and even produces a podcast about movies. He calls himself “a cool nerd” but Bowstring knows him as a dynamic team member who feels most at home when on set.

Rory Peach is an experienced cinematographer and post sound engineer who specializes in creating branded marketing material for a full range of clients. He started pursuing his passion at Drexel University’s Film and Video program, during which he focused his studies on camera operation, and received a student Emmy with his team for the television series, “Off Campus.” He began his professional career by joining Bowstring Studios in 2011. Rory has since served as cinematographer for media outlets such as NBC Sports, CNN, 6ABC, Al Jazeera America, and Comcast, as well as for brands including Under Armour, the U.S. Army and Gatorade.
Whether generating documentary, narrative or live action-style content, Rory is a knowledgeable professional who regularly employs the most progressive and proven technologies to showcase his style. Capturing aerial footage from helicopters, performing intricately planned shots in the studio, and hiking to get the iconic mountain top shot all are in a typical day’s work for Rory.
In addition to filming over one hundred episodes of American Family Insurance’s Get 2 the Game series, Rory is also an accomplished sound engineer. He has mixed and sound sweetened over one thousand pieces of content, ranging from feature films to the standard two-person interview. Rory is an expert at fixing “troubled” audio, and his ability to design complex soundscapes brings clarity and warmth to otherwise ordinary mixes. He is a firm believer in a collaborative and innovative environment and pursues new and leading-edge approaches to all of his projects.

Josh is Bowstring’s gear savant. His technical knowledge and passion for his work make him an indispensable member of the production team. Originally from San Diego, California, Josh is a Full Sail graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in film. He dedicates his whole life to his work in order to tell real stories that share impactful messages. Aiming to create change through the power of film, Josh is enthusiastic on location and in the studio, always adapting and overcoming challenges with creativity.

Josh also supports the film scene in the Philadelphia area. He enjoys working with local independent filmmakers to produce short films and features. Josh loves every aspect of his job. However, he is most interested in lighting. He always says, “Lighting is one of the most important parts of storytelling. It sets the tone and mood for the whole viewing experience.” Josh’s attention to these details is evident in brand films produced for our partners, such as the University of West Florida and Indiana State University.

Josh spends most of his free time staying on top of the latest industry trends and innovations to “stay ahead of the curve.” However, he does make time to train for mixed martial arts, hit the open road, and enjoy music – he can recite lyrics from songs recorded in the 1940’s to the present!
